Renee is a magnificent addition to our team and offers not only her podiatric knowledge but also her elite sporting background, Renee recently placed 9th in the world at the 2014 World Karate Championships in Germany and is the current Victorian Champion, National Champion, past Oceania and Commonwealth Champion.This enables her to appreciate the frustrations of injuries that can be holding you back from your sport.
Renee Caruso graduated from La Trobe University with a keen interest in diabetes care, general treatment and the management of musculo-skeletal injuries. Renee has a sound understanding of individual footwear requirements across all ages and sports having worked at the specialist shoe store Active Feet for the last 3 years. She believes that having up to date footwear knowledge is a prime factor in keeping people injury free. She continues to enhance her clinical skills as a member of the Australian Podiatry Association, has undertaken a course in foot mobilisation and manipulation which offers an alternative treatment option for many musculo-skeletal and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle. Due to her long history as an elite sports professional she knows the best possible care can be delivered when the right tools and a personalised treatment plan are in place.

Tony Truong is a passionate and dedicated podiatrist at Whittlesea Foot and Ankle Clinic who completed a Bachelor of Applied Science/Master of Podiatric Practice from La Trobe University.
Over time, Tony has worked in a wide range of clinical settings involving metro and regional public hospitals, along with time in the private sector. The combination of Tony’s time in both public and private sectors has provided him with an interest in all aspects of podiatry.
Tony has an enormous passion for sport and has been brought up to enjoy an active lifestyle. He has a diverse sporting background and represented La Trobe at the University Nationals for cricket, futsal, soccer and tennis. He is currently playing tennis for La Trobe Tennis Club and enjoys competing in a weekly social competition for mixed netball with his friends.
Tony has also previously worked at Active Feet, a podiatry based footwear store. During this time, Tony has developed an extensive knowledge on all footwear types to meet an individual’s footwear requirements. Tony has a vast interest in footwear and remains dedicated to stay up to date with the latest footwear technology.
Currently, Tony is an Australian Podiatry Association member and is actively enhancing his clinical skills through attending professional development events. He most recently attended the 2019 National Podiatry Conference in Adelaide and has undertaken courses for ankle rehabilitation, biomechanics and orthotic management and dermatology. He hopes to consistently build upon his knowledge and combine patient centred care and evidence based practice to reach your goals.
Outside of podiatry, Tony can be found surrounding himself in playing sport, following the latest results of his beloved Collingwood FC and Liverpool FC and rewatching his favourite comedy show, ‘The Office’. He also continues to participate in fun runs throughout the year and hope to one day complete a full marathon.
